Start the New Year Off with Wellbeing
Happy New Year Family!
Can you believe we are in 2022? The New Year can be an excellent time for a fresh start, and a chance to begin the year with a healthy mind-set. You may already have some ideas for New Year’s resolutions – you may be planning on joining a gym, spending more time with family, looking for a new job or career path, or cutting back on the amount of junk food that you eat. One of the top recommendations I share with my counseling clients is the power of wellbeing not only for your physical body but your mental health as well!
Positive mental health and wellbeing enables you to function well, have meaningful social connections, positive self-esteem and be better able to cope with life's ups and downs.
A few tips that can help maintain your mental health and wellbeing:
✅ Spend time with friends, loved ones and people you trust
✅ Talk about or express your feelings regularly
✅ Keep active and eat well
✅ Develop new skills and challenge your capabilities
✅ Relax and enjoy your hobbies
✅ Set realistic goals
✅ Take time out
✅ Get enough sleep
